2025 Emmy Predictions: Who Will Win, Who Should Win

The Emmys are next week! I won't get to watch the ceremony live due to another commitment, but I plan on following along on my phone as best I can. I feel like I'm constantly playing catch up with movies and TV lately, so I'll probably be way off in my predictions, but these posts are always fun to write. Here's who I think will win, and in some cases who should win.

Who will win: Severance

Who should win: Andor...but also Severance.

Look, I love Severance as much as everyone else but Andor really blew me away this year. I wish it would take the top prize, but I don't see that happening.

Nobody Wants This
Only Murders in the Building
Shrinking
The Studio
What We Do in the Shadows
Who will win: The Studio

Who should win: What We Do in the Shadows

I haven't caught up with season 4 of Hacks, and I'm not quite finished with season 4 of Abbott Elementary so I know I have a huge blind spot here, but I love WWDITS and I would love it to win the big comedy prize as a send off. The Studio was good, so I won't be mad if it does win.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story
The Penguin
Who will and should win: Adolescence.

I HATE that I am being forced to choose between Adolescence and The Penguin. In a perfect world, they would tie. I'm giving Adolescence the edge just because it got so many people talking. Everyone I know watched it, where as only my comic book loving friends watched The Penguin.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
The Gorge
Mountainhead
Nonnas
Rebel Ridge
Who will win: Bridget Jones

Who should win: The Gorge

Honestly, I have no idea what will win here, but I did like The Gorge.

The Amazing Race
RuPaul’s Drag Race
Survivor
Top Chef
The Traitors

Who will and should win: RuPaul's Drag Race

Best Talk Series
The Daily Show
Jimmy Kimmel Live! 
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert 
Who will and should win: The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Colbert deserves to win this just to get on stage and tell CBS what bitches they are.

Best Actor in a Drama Series

Who will and should win: Adam Scott

It's his time. As much as I love my man Pedro, I think Scott's got this. 

Best Actress in a Drama Series

Bella Ramsey, The Last of Us
Keri Russell, The Diplomat

Who will and should win: Britt Lower

I think Bella would be a worthy winner here, but I can see the Emmys going Severance heavy, so here we are.

Who will and should win: Tramell Tillman

There could be some serious vote splitting here but I'm rooting for Tramell so I'm putting this out into the universe.

Cooper Koch, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story
Who will and should win: Colin Farrell

Graham is going to be hot on his heels, but I see Colin taking it here and he deserves it for not only giving an amazing performance, but for being buried under all that terrible makeup.

Julianne Nicholson, Paradise

Who will win: Julianne Nicholson

Who should win: Aimee Lou Wood.

I'm not super confident with this. I think Arquette could win, but she really didn't get a ton to do this season. I'm going with Nicholson because she's a previous winner who has surprised me before.

Hatosy already won as of me typing this and he probably would've been my pick too since I don't have The Pitt winning anywhere else.

Merritt Wever, Severance
Wever winning here is no surprise at all. She's won before and was the strongest out of the Severance ladies.

Who will win: Jean Smart

Who should win: Ayo Edebiri

Look, I don't bet against Jean Smart and she probably deserves it, but my Irish Queen Ayo! I just want her to win.

Sorry, still on The Bear bandwagon. Rogen winning will be fine though.

While The Bear has lost a lot of steam, I don't think Ebon has.

It's pretty crazy to me how Einbinder has not won with how beloved Hacks as been. Once of these years, I'll predict her correctly.

I'm actually kind of shocked Scorsese didn't win. Sure, Cranston had the most to do, but it's Martin Scorsese.

See this is what I mean! Nicholson sneaks in and wins stuff! Kravitz was hilarious in The Studio though. I would'ved liked to have seen her win

I think Javier Bardem has a strong chance of winning, but the voting committee will be a bunch of clowns if they don't give this to Cooper. That kid was outstanding.

I'm torn on this one. I have a hunch Sevigny will get it, but Doherty is my personal favorite.
