What I Watched on TV in November

I'm a bit lighter on TV this month now that I've gotten time to go to the theater more. Here are my quick thoughts.

The White Lotus -
I feel like EVERYONE on this show, minus horny grandpa could be a murderer. I'm still not loving this season, but I am looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Andor -
This was a massive success in my house. I looked forward to it every week. I had such low expectations for this show going in and they knocked it out of the park. I can't wait for the second season.

Atlanta -
This was their final season and while it was a bit all over the place, I'm glad they ended with the focus on the main four and didn't do as many side stories. This show is definitely not perfect, but I appreciate it so much.

The Resort -
I watched about 4 episodes of this show before I just skipped to the last one to hear the catch. This should've been a movie, not an 8 episode TV series, they didn't have nearly enough story to fill those gaps.

A Friend of the Family -
I'm not sure that anyone asked for a dramatic version of the events in the popular documentary Abducted in Plain Sight, but here my clown ass is watching it and finishing it in about 2 days. The actors, especially Jake Lacy were tremendous and the real life Jan has a small role as a therapist. After what she went through, I fully support her making a shit ton of money off what happened and her abuser's name continuously dragged through the mud.

The Crown -
I'm only 2 episodes in to this new season and honestly I don't even feel like finishing it. Last season was so good and this just didn't grab me. I know I'll finish it, I just don't know when.

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special -
This was so stupid and fun and there wasn't a lot of Chris Pratt. A win for all involved. Bless you, Kevin Bacon.

  1. I know why you liked White Lotus.... ;) I'm glad you dug The Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special and.... how Nebula? How did she get that present? Andor. Those last episodes KNOCKED it out of the park and then some. I am so eager for the next season.

    1. I really want to see Andy Serkis' character in Andor again. I know it's far fetched, but I hope they bring him back seeing as how the internet went absolutely wild for him.

  2. The Guardians had a Christmas special? Is it as good as the Star wars Christmas special? LOL. I wasn't sure about the best friend show. I stayed away because I just felt too uncomfortable to watch it. I heard Lotus I good and love that actress...she is funny. Forgot her name..ughh.

    1. it's much better than Star Wars' Christmas special! I do appreciate how much say the real Jan apparently had in the Friend of the Family show. I knew going in that I wouldn't end up with some borderline exploitative Dahmer shit.
