My Top 5 Christmas Movies
Happy Holidays, all! On this Christmas Eve, I thought I'd share a quick top 5 of the films I re-watch every holiday season in no particular order. What are your favorite Christmas movies? Tell me in the comments.
How can you not love this Macaulay Culkin classic? This is also a favorite of my son's, so we watch it several times throughout the month of December.
Remember when TNT used to show this for 24 hours a day on Christmas? I get it. Even though I've seen this 1000's of times. I still sit down and watch. I was also low key jealous taht I never encountered a mall Santa with a slide in my childhood.
This is the most recent addition to my list. I was not expecting to love The Holdovers as much as I did, but it instantly became a new favorite and one I tell everyone to watch during the holiday season. (Or any time of the year, it's that good)
One of the quintessential "Is this a Christmas movie?" type of films. Yes, there's holiday lights so it absolutely is. I love how ridiculous this movie is.
It's rare a sequel is just as fun as the first, but this one certainly is. Plus, Catherine O'Hara's scream in the airport when she finds out Kevin is missing again is an all timer of a movie moment.

The Holdovers bumped it out lol
ReplyDeleteThis is coming out of a holiday closet, but I've never seen any of the Home Alone movies.
ReplyDeleteJust watch the first 2 films and that's it. Oh, and watch out for the human shit cameo in the 2nd film.
DeleteBro WHAT?! They are classics! I highly recommend, though I echo Steven and watch out for the turd cameo in the second lol
DeleteSome pretty dang good Christmas movies on your list. The original "Miracle on 34th Street" probably tops mine. You can never go wrong with "Home Alone". So good. And we watched "Home Alone 2" this year for the first time in forever. It's still a lot of fun.

ReplyDeleteBoth Home Alone movies are still so watchable. I don't acknowledge any of the other ones that came after though lol
