2026 Emmy Nominations

The Emmy Nominations are upon us and while the Comedy and Drama categories have all the usual suspects, the Limited Series line up is what truly shocked me.

I'm so happy to see A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms here. That was the drama series I was rooting for the most. Of these, I haven't seen any of The Diplomat, The Gilded Age or Your Friends & Neighbors. I'm sure The Pitt has this on lock. I wasn't as high on Pluribus as others were.

I'm happy to see Chase Infiniti for The Testaments. I wish there was room for Lucy Halliday too. Zendaya getting nominated for all 3 seasons of Euphoria is a great stat for her. She deserves better than that 3rd season gave her.

I'm very happy for Gerran Howell as he's one of my favorites in The Pitt, but I'm not gonna lie, I'd rather see Dexter Sol Ansell and Daniel Ings in here for Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. I'm only on season 2 of Slow Horses but I still fail to see how Jack Lowden is considered supporting.

Brittany Allen and Tin Ivlev were both heartbreaking in their The Pitt episodes. I hope one of them wins here. As much as I love The Testaments, I'm really glad Elisabeth Moss didn't make it into this category after they essentially bent the rules for her to qualify. That wasn't a great look.

I'm full speed ahead on the Shrinking train this year now that I finally watched it. I also don't want to hear any "The Bear is not a comedy" peeps when Widow's Bay is in here too. They are the exact same level of comedy/drama in my opinion. And they both deserve their nominations.

Jessica Williams is forever my girl and who I root for the most but I'm so jazzed for Dale Dickey. Her power point scene in Widow's Bay is easily one of the funniest things I've seen on TV this year. I'm so glad both her and Kate O'Flynn were nominated.

I just finished watching The Bear finale last night, and you know he would've featured in that episode. Instead we saw him get phoned off screen.

Who does Shea Whigham have to blow to get an Emmy nomination? This guy is constantly putting in great work and is never rewarded for it. It's also completely category fraud to have all the DTF men here. You're telling me that show had NO lead? Bateman and Harbour were very much co-leads. I'm happy for Richard Gadd and Nick Offerman. They both deserved their noms.
