DVD Review: Very Good Girls

Very Predictable Girls.

Lily (Dakota Fanning) and Gerri (Elizabeth Olsen) are spending one last summer together before they go to college. They both meet and fall for the same man, David. (Boyd Holbrook) Lily happens to catch his attention first while Gerri still pursues it. Obviously we all know where this is going.

I love Fanning and Olsen, they've consistently been enjoyable to watch, and they're both very good here too. The film just happens to be very predictable. We know going in what the outcome is going to be. I thought both Lily and Gerri had personalities I could relate to at that age. Whether some traits were from me, or my friends. That made the film a little more enjoyable than what I was expecting it to be.

Very Good Girls won't offer anything new, but if your fans of Olsen and Fanning, it's worth checking out.

Recommended: Yes (for the reason above)

Grade: C+

Memorable Quote: "People aren't perfect, Kiddo. They make mistakes." - Edward (Clark Gregg)

  1. Damn I really wish Olsen was starring in better movies - it's just such a waste of her talents.
