What I Watched on TV In August

This month flew by. I did a lot of flying at the beginning of it, which contributed to this list a lot. I also meant to finish Hacks and start Reservation Dogs and I didn't accomplish that. Maybe next month. Here's what I've been watching on the small screen.

Westworld -
S4 was definitely better than S3. It ended on a really interesting note and as always, Aaron Paul stole the show. I'm disappointed Thandie and Evan didn't share the screen. Season 5 will be its finale season and I am interested in seeing how they end it all since they appear to be going back to their roots.

What We Do in the Shadows -
The episode where they make fun of home flipping shows is fantastic. This show is so consistently funny, you should watch it if you aren't already.

The Most Hated Man on the Internet -
This is a documentary series on Netflix that my sister recommended and it's another reminder of how vast the internet is. The website this doc is about was apparently huge, but I don't recall ever hearing about it. It's disgusting that this guy got away with posting revenge porn for so long. I was very captivated by this, but I felt like some of the interviews could've gone a bit deeper.

She-Hulk -
I know the CGI isn't the best but I'm having fun with this so far. My only complaint is the episodes are way too short.

Untold: The Girlfriend Who Didn't Exist -
Another Netflix documentary, this time about the Manty T'eo scandal, which I thought I remembered well but turns out I forgot a LOT. I thought this was fascinating, even if you know the jist of it. The woman who did all this to him showing zero remorse was annoying.

Super Pumped -
I don't have Showtime, but Delta Airlines has the first four episodes of this on their in flight movie list and I love JGL so I had to watch. It was well done. I'm not immediately rushing to get a temporary Showtime subscription to finish it, but he's good at playing an asshole.

Never Seen Again -

I got a week trial of Paramount Plus to watch Orphan: First Kill and I let this documentary play as I was working. It's basic true crime. Frustrating because none of these cases are solved, and some of them should be. Some of these cases make me want to go on an internet deep dive.

House of the Dragon -
Game of Thrones is back! Opening theme and all. I'm feeling a lot of nostalgia and am enjoying this so far.

  1. I totally love She-Hulk: Attorney at Law as I just think it's fun. Yes, some of the visual effects are wobbly at times but I still enjoyed it. Especially the post-credit of the third episode. All of these fanboys complaining. Wow, is it their time of the month? Such pussies.

I really need to catch up on Westworld and I do need to see What We Do in the Shadows as I have seen a few clips of it and it made me laugh. It's timing that I have a problem with.

    1. WWWITS is so great. I don't think S4 was their strongest season but the final episode makes me REALLY intrigued for S5.

  2. I haven't committed to House of the Dragon at this point. I still feel burned by Season 8.

    1. I'll always feel burned by that, but this at least makes me feel somewhat better.
