What I Watched on TV in March

It's been a while since I talked about what I've been watching on the small screen, but believe me, plenty has been going on.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms -
Okay, technically this was a February watch, but it's been my favorite show of the year so far and it feels SO GOOD to love something from Game of Thrones again. This show has a much lighter tone from it's predecessors and that fits very well into the Dunk and Egg short stories its adapting from. Some of cut-a-ways they do are funnier than what's happening in actual comedy shows right now. I love it. It's only 6 episodes, so if you haven't started, you really should. Casting is A+++ as always.

The Pitt Season 2 - I was late to the Pitt party so I was able to binge the first season back to back, and let me tell you it's EXCRUCIATING not being able to do that for season 2. Don't get me wrong, I like having something to look forward to next week, but every episode immediately makes you want the next one. Life is hard.

One Piece Season 2(Live Action) -
I will never commit to watching the anime version of this like my kid does, but the live action version has been a huge hit in my family.  IƱaki Godoy is giving Emmy level comedic performances but he'll never be recognized for it because this show is far too batshit for the Emmys. My only issue this season was Katey Segal's Dr. Kureha, she felt like she was playing two different characters, but she probably had a great time so good for her. I just hope we don't have to wait so long for season three. A show like this that has SO much source material already out there should be cranking out these episodes yearly.

Pluribus - All the Emmy buzz around Rhea Seehorn and a glowing endorsement from some of my coworkers got me to start this and....I'm underwhelmed. Rhea is great. She always is, but I found myself frustrated with the way a lot of the characters in this are reacting to what's happening around them, then on top of that it's such a slow burn that it started to feel very repetitive. These should've been 30 minute episodes with the amount of story they had to tell. Maybe season 2 will be better, but I don't know if I'll watch it.

Shrinking - I'm trying to get the most out of this brief period of paying for Apple TV, so I started another comedy staple at the Emmys. So far, I like it! It's short and fun. I'm nearly finished with season one. It reminds me of Hacks in the way that it's such an easy watch.

Fallout Season 2 - This was technically a January watch, but I just realized I never talked about it. Really enjoyed season too. I selfishly hope they don't split up The Ghoul and Lucy for season 3 because they have such great chemistry that I would definitely miss them sharing scenes. My biggest complaint is that we didn't learn more about how a particular senator got into THAT situation, but that is something they could explain in season 3.
