Favorite Movie Titles - Halloween Edition!

I've been racking my brain over what to do as a Halloween theme this year. I've done lists, horror themed Indie Gems, films that scared me, but since I've been on a movie/TV title kick this year, I figured it fit. Here's a list of my favorite Halloween/Horror/Thriller related titles. Keep in mind, I don't necessarily like these movies, but their titles are awesome.

An American Werewolf in London
Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

Cannibal Holocaust
Dead Hooker in a Trunk
Event Horizon
Fright Night
Ginger Snaps
Hatchet
I Saw The Devil

Jaws
Killer Klowns from Outerspace
Let The Right One In
Midnight Meat Train
Nightmare on Elm Street
Orca: The Killer Whale

Planet Terror
Queen of the Damned
Red, White, and Blue
Sleepaway Camp
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Underworld
Valley of the Zombies
Wicked Little Things

Xtro
You're Next
Zombie Strippers

  1. That's a pretty good list of titles. Most of these I only know by name but they seem like pretty good titles even if the films they came from didn't sound too good.

If you're looking for some Halloween-related activities, you could try joining in the horror-themed blogathon I've been doing. There's only three days left and only two people have contributed, so it would be nice if could get a few other people before it finishes:

    1. I saw that when you first posted it, but I couldn't think of anything!. I'll try to give it so more thought.

  2. Nice group of titles you got there. And, not for nothing, I think I Saw the Devil is a fantastic film.

    1. Yes, it truly is. It's a shame they're remaking it. It will probably end up like Oldboy.

    2. Adam Wingard the Director behind You're Next and The Guest will be helming the remake so it may not be so bad. We can only see

    3. I hope not, but I'm going to set my expectations at rock bottom just in case. :)

    1. Yes! I almost put Hobo With A Shotgun in there too, but I thought that would be pushing it for the Grindhouse division.

    1. So do I! It was way better than Death Proof.

    2. I agree, which really sucks. I really liked the "girl powerness" going on in Death Proof...

    3. I liked that too, but I felt like a lot of their conversations dragged on far too long. Especially for a film that was meant to be a double feature with Planet Terror.

    4. Great to see I Saw The Devil and Red, Ehite and Blue there! I can still feel the bruise of those vengeance. Uh.
Anyway, I'd love to see The Evil Dead there... Or Tucker and Dale vs Evil :)

    5. Tucker and Dale vs Evil is a good one! I Liked that way more than I expected to.

  5. You've got some good titles in there (and a few I've never heard of too!).

Missing for me are E = The Exorcist, O = The Omen, S = Saw

    1. I actually had Exorcist and Omen there first, but then I thought the titles I picked were better. (Even though Exorcist and Omen are far better films)
